Capturing Joy
Where it all started
Ever since I was a girl, I have been taking photographs! When I was 3 my family moved from California to Texas, as my father had just begun a new job working for Canon. In the days before smart phones, I was given my first 35 mm camera for my 9th birthday, and have been happily clicking away ever since!
On my 12th birthday I was given a new Canon camera called the “Sure Shot Joy.” Since my middle name is Joy, the seeds were sown for my business - Capture JOY Photography: Making Memories Accessible!
My husband, Michael, and I were married in 2004 and we have 2 children. We live in McKinney and have what I like to call our “little farm in the city.” I enjoy spending time with family, gardening, long-distance swimming, and studying God’s Word.
